The Shells

All NUVO helmets except the FF1 Flip are high pressure Vacuum bag moulded using our unique blend of fibres and epoxy resins. This ensures consistent shell thickness and maximum strength every time. The FF1 is constructed using a high pressure moulded Thermo-Plastic Alloy.
Making sure the shell and graphics stay looking good for years to come is important to us. So after the graphics are applied, the helmet gets a clear coat of high solids UV resistant lacquer. After drying the clear coat is rubbed back by hand, before going through the clear coat process once again.

Shell Sizes

Multiple shell enable us to use the optimum thickness of EPS to ensure that your helmet fit is comfortable, well ventilated & above all as safe as possible. After all, it is the EPS that compresses and absorbs most of the energy in an impact.

Women Specific Fit

Another advantage of having multiple shell sizes is that we are able to create helmets designed exclusively to give maximum comfort & protection to ladies.

High Performance Ventilation System

Our SP2 Road Series helmets have no less than eleven vents, working in conjunction to keep you as cool & comfortable as possible however hot the weather is outside.

Keeping a cool head is a must, either on the race track or negotiating an urban rush hour grand prix. NUVO helmets utilised sophisticated 3-D design software to create H.P.V.S (high performance vent system). Multiple switched vents feed channels deep into the EPS liner bringing in fresh air and exhausting hot stale air.

Having all this cool air ducted into the helmet is no good if it can’t reach your head. Our removable, washable comfort liner is constructed from Soft touch open weave hypoallergenic fabrics and Air mesh to make sure the air reaches where it matters most.

High Integrity Chinbar

One area of a helmet often overlooked is the chin bar. We wanted to make it much stronger and use more impact absorbing EPS. The result is the super strong NUVO “high integrity chin bar system”.
Our designers gave special attention to the chinbar of the SP2 in order to give maximum protection to the face and mouth in the event of a front impact.
